Who Is This Nate Miyaki Creature?

Let me start by telling you what looks the most impressive on paper, but is ultimately the least important for you.

I have a unique combination of formal education (post-baccalaureate studies in Kinesiology, Certified Specialist in Performance Nutrition, Certified Specialist in Fitness Nutrition) AND practical experience (natural bodybuilding champion, 15 years experience as a nutrition adviser and personal trainer).

I’ve been featured or published in every major fitness magazine — Men’s Health, Shape, Men’s Fitness, Muscle & Fitness, T-Nation, LIVESTRONG. Apparently, some very important people think I’m qualified and talented enough to teach my nutrition methods to millions of people across the world.

Blah, blah, blah. Who cares, right? I can’t stand fitness people who talk non-stop about how awesome they are. That doesn’t help YOU get results.

It’s the one qualification, the most important credential; I look for when learning from another teacher.

I have phenomenal hair. Hahaha, just kidding. . .

The real qualification is passion.

Health, fitness, and physique enhancement is not just my career; it’s my hobby, my passion, and my life. I’ve studied it from every angle possible.

Do you have to become as obsessed to get results? Absolutely not, but you can certainly learn a thing or two from someone who lives and breaths this stuff from sun up to sun down.

As a trainer and coach for over a decade, those personal lessons and experiences have been multiplied out exponentially by getting to work with thousands of clients from all walks of life.

I’ve absorbed what was useful, left behind what wasn’t, and distilled it all down into simple and practical strategies that work. They work for busy professionals, stay-at-home moms and dads, college students, other fitness professionals, models, and everything in between.

I’d love to tell you that creating my approach was purely out of the goodness of my heart and for the benefit of the world or even just to make a buck. The first would be noble. The second would at least be understandable for anyone who knows what it’s like to try to make a living from something they love doing.

But I’d be lying.

A lot of the motivation to get it right came from my own personal obsession and selfish goals. Vain and ridiculous? Yes. But completely true.

And honestly, that’s the best type of teacher to learn from — the one who has something personally at stake in the matter and is fighting right alongside you to achieve similar goals. This world is full of too many people who talk one way and live another.

If you fail on this plan, that means I’m going to fail too. I’m using the exact same strategies so you and I will get the same results. And let me tell you something right now, I ain’t failing!

No one is more passionate about building glorious physiques than I am.

I Say Exactly What I Mean, And I Practice What I Teach.

Here’s the unfortunate truth: a large percentage of the health and fitness industry purposely confuses you in order to sell you a bunch of bullshit you don’t really need or to make you dependent on their services.

I can’t stand for such uselessness.

I’ve always believed the best way to help those around you is just by being an open book and authentically sharing your own personal journey and experiences — the good and the bad, the triumphs and the setbacks, the answers and the questions, the valuable lessons and the mistakes.

If I can help you avoid some of the frustration I’ve experienced, I’m all for it. Parts of my journey just completely sucked, and I hope I can help you avoid some of the same mistakes I’ve made as an athlete, physique enthusiast, and coach.

And here is probably the most authentic thing I could ever tell you about me. I consider myself a lifelong student of health and fitness. How do I study?

– I constantly seek out the leading resources in the world of health and fitness.

– I read, research, and put their theories to the test.

– I go Bruce Lee-style and “absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is essentially my own.”

– I integrate what is applicable into my overall plans.

But I like to give credit where credit is due. So from time to time, I’d like to share some of the resources that have helped me along the way. Is that cool with you?
